TEHRAN, Oct. 21 (MNA) – Heading a high-ranking delegation from various sectors of Russian economy, Russian energy minister arrived in Tehran early on Wednesday.

A new round of Tehran-Moscow economic talks gets into gear as the Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Valentinovich Novak arrived in Tehran early on Tuesday, announced Iran’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

The Russian minister is accompanied by a high-ranking delegation of Russian business people, traders, commissioner from both private and state sectors.

Iran's Minister of Communications Mahmoud Vaezi chairs the joint commission of Iran-Russia economic cooperation.

The Russian official is also slated to meet with Iran’s Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh and several new agreements are expected to be clinched during his visit.

Cooperation in energy area as well as the situation of global oil prices and cooperation between OPEC and non-OPEC oil producing countries, are among the top topics of bilateral talks in Tehran.
