RIYADH, Oct. 15 (MNA) – OIC, on Wednesday, reacted to crimes against Palestinians committed by Israeli regime.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned, on Wednesday, the Israeli regime’s crimes committed against Palestinian people in the occupied territories, especially in the holy city of Jerusalem, causing about 30 dead and 1,400 wounded.

In a statement release sent to the media by the Secretary General Iyad Madani, the entity urged the international community to assume its responsibilities and force the Israeli regime to stop the killing and abuse of civilians.

The OIC, which brings together 57 Islamic countries, considers the Zionist regime committed a flagrant violation of Geneva Four Agreements and international humanitarian law by attacking Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem, occupied since 1967.

Since October to the date, 29 Palestinians were killed and 1,400 were injured by Israeli police and Jewish extremists, recalled the statement dated in the Saudi city of Jeddah, permanent headquarters of the organization.

Madani said the OIC decided to follow up the decisions taken by the organization's foreign minister, which includes holding emergency meetings with the UN Security and Human Rights Councils as soon as possible.
