TEHRAN, Oct. 04 (MNA) – Iranian short film Silence, directed by Mehrdad Hassani, has found its way into Asiana International Short Film Festival (AISFF) in South Korea.

Produced by Iranian Young Cinema Society (IYCS), Iran’s Silence will compete with 48 short films at AISFF which is celebrating its 13th edition this year in Seoul on November 18-22.

Silence narrates the story of an Afghan disabled child who shops for the people of a village he lives in.

The movie previously won the Grand Prize of the Cabbagetown Short Film and Video Festival in Canada in August, 2015.

Asiana International Short Film Festival (AISFF) is the first and largest international competitive short film festival in Korea.

The festival is a place to see the newest trend of world cinema through eyes of short films, the future of cinema and the cinematic variety and cultural diversity.

AISFF is looking forward to seeing great work of art as well as passion for short films.
