TEHRAN, Sep. 29 (MNA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani underlined the need for lifting of all sanctions against Iran, stressing that the country is ready to fulfill its commitment regarding JCPOA.

Speaking in a meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York on Monday evening, Rouhani underlined the need for precise implementation of all parts of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), including removal of sanctions.

Iranian president underlined that the other side should also do its best to implement the same and to take the necessary measures needed for adopting the regulations in all fields, specially removal of sanctions, concurrent with the implementation of the deal by Iran.

Pointing to Tehran-London relations, Rouhani said the reopening of the two countries' embassies will be a good start for the expansion of mutual cooperation.

He addressed the need to understand the real reasons for the spread of terrorism and insecurity in the region and the world, stressing the importance of providing necessary solutions in this regard. “If we do not eliminate the roots of terrorism, even if we are successful in the fight against it in one spot, it will emerge in another place immediately.”

Cameron, for his part, reiterated that London would fulfill all its duties concerning the JCPOA, and said, “we are assured that the other sides will also fulfill their duties.”

He also pointed to London-Tehran relations, and said, “I hope that we could have proven our good will by helping the finalization of the JCPOA, the visit of the British Foreign Secretary Phillip Hammond to Tehran, the reopening of the embassies and sending trade delegations to Tehran.”

British Prime Minister Cameron also spoke on the activities of terrorist groups in Syria. He said what is more important to us is barbaric motivation of ISIL. “Philosophy of ISIL is development of violence and extremism and we have seen its moves on the streets of London and Paris and the US.”
