TEHRAN, Sep. 24 (MNA) – Iran’s Javad Zarif has received his Indonesian counterpart in his residence in New York to discuss cooperation and matters of common interest.

Mohamamd Javad Zarif received Ms. Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi in a meeting where they discussed bilateral relations and cooperation on Middle East especially Syrian crisis and refugee issues.

Ms. Marsudi described Iran and 5+1 hitting the JCPOA as a giant step forward toward global peace and security, and voiced her country’s welcome of the deal implementation.

Zarif for his part, emphasized on solving crises in the Middle East through political solutions and with participation of all countries, highlighting Iran’s 4-point plan proposed for solving Syrian crisis.

Zairf and Indonesian counterpart discussed, inter alia, regional issues, expansion of bilateral relations, mutual support in international community, and exchange of high-ranking delegations, along with Indonesian FM and president’s possible visit to Tehran.
