TEHRAN, Sep. 14 (MNA) – Head of the Judiciary has severely criticized Saudi regime’s conduct of the political conflicts in the region as ‘pouring oil on the fire.’

Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani who was addressing a meeting of Judiciary high-ranking officials on Monday, lamented the fact that the rulers of the Sacred Shrines who now have the situation in their own hands, had deviated the true path of the Muslim unity to the wilderness of the extremism, supporting Takfirist terrorist groups and at the same time, playing with fire in the region.

He also offered his condolences for the families of the victims of a crane crash in the holy city of Mecca where a number of Hajj pilgrims were killed and injured, and emphasized on the provision of safe services and welfare of the Hajj pilgrims by the Saudi rulers; “we hope that we will not see for the second time such mismanagement about pilgrims of the House of God,” he added.

Ayatollah Amoli Larijani voiced severe concerns over sowing discord by the Saudi officials among the Muslims; “it is unfortunate to say that rulers which have a claim to guardianship of Two Sacred Shrines in Mecca and Medina are themselves the major factor in destabilizing the region; they are misguided in their stark deviation from the path leading to unity of Muslims and avoidance of differences; rather than advertising harmony, Saudis only have worked to worsen the already tense situation in the region,” he emphasized.

“Abuse of power by the rulers against other nations strictly violates the sacrosanct ethical and humanitarian values and ideals; people now should be alert to readily spotting the source of their enemy and the tyrants of the time,” Ayatollah Amoli Larijani asserted.

He had some sideswipes to nuclear deal and the alertness to enemies’ approaches in efforts to infiltrate the country on the pretext of JCPOA; “nuclear deal has been a venue for great services for the country and negotiators had great level of expertise and mastery of the situation in the negotiations; however, great care should be exercised about the pitfall of disregard for other successes, and voicing positions which might be to the interests of the US and its allies,” said the head of the Judiciary.

He quoted Leader of the Islamic Republic who had issued some caveats on the possible US infiltration to country’s critical corridors through pretexts provided for them by JCPOA; “the US officials have admitted waging attempts to bring to power parties and individuals in diagonal opposition to the Islamic Republic, and whom work to guarantee the US interests,” Ayatollah Amoli Larijani asserted.

He then touched upon a critical issue in Iran’s politics, the ‘approbative supervision’ of the Guardian Council on the health of the elections; on attempts to reduce crime, head of the Judiciary demanded that the relevant bill be approved in the Expediency Council.
