TEHRAN, Sep. 14 (MNA) – Iran's ambassador to Baku and chairman of Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly reviewed on Monday the approaches to promote Iran-Nakhchivan bilateral relations.

The two sides studied capacities to expand bilateral relations in all fields during the meeting in Azerbaijan.

Pointing to the commonalities between the two countries, Mohsen Pakaein said the positive developments in the Nakhchivan ties with Iran are due to growing relations between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic.

He described relations in the economic, trade, agriculture, energy, education and other sectors enjoying a special importance and added that diplomatic visits in recent years have paved the way to provide good facilities to develop mutual cooperation.

Talibov, for his part, said relations between Nakhchivan and its neighboring Iranian provinces play effective role in positive bonds between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic.

Islamic Republic of Iran is a strategic friend and reliable neighbor for Azerbaijan Republic, Talibov said, stressing that Iran's comprehensive kindness in hard times towards Nakhchivan people would be never forgotten.

Cooperation between Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan and Iran will benefit the region, said the official.
