In a meeting with the Korean delegation in Chabahar, Ali Hamed Mobaraki asserted that, “the presence of foreign business groups clearly indicates economic, trade, transit, and tourism capacities of Chabahar port.”
“After the nuclear deal, foreign investors gained more hope and enthusiasm for visiting the Islamic Republic of Iran, particularly Chabahar as the starting point for the country,” he added.
Pointing to the Leader’s emphasis on the development of Makran coasts, Mobaraki continued enumerating several major achievements and initiatives undertaken by the government in this region including launching of a railway project, development of docks, gas transmission, selection of Chabahar as the third pole of automobile and petrochemical industry, investment in Petrochin Pars Compnay and Chabahar International Airport.
He also said Iran hails foreign investment, adding that welfare, education and medical facilities have been provided for foreign investors in the free zone.
South Korean Kepco (Korea Electric Power Corp) CEO Cho Hwan-eik also introduced the company and its activities in different countries announcing their willingness to set up a 1000 megawatt power plant through BOT scheme in Chabahar.
