TEHRAN, Sep. 07 (MNA) – At the end of Kyrgyz President’s visit of Tehran, Atambayev and Rouhani issued a joint statement.

At the official invitation of Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev arrived in Tehran on Friday evening to bolster friendly and brotherly ties between the two nations.

In his first visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran in 10 years, Atambayev met with Iranian high ranking officials of including Leader of Islamic Republic, President Rouhani, and Foreign Minister Zarif.

In the joint statement issued at the end of the two-day visit, the two presidents hailed 22 years of cooperation and interaction between the two countries in fields of economy, culture, politics, trade and humanitarian activities.

The Kyrgyz and Iranian Presidents voiced satisfaction with the friendly ambience of bilateral talks held on regional and global issues.

The two sides stressed on drafting a 5 year plan of cooperation based on old historical ties, reciprocal respect, joint beneficial efforts on employing the whole capacity of cooperation in order to broaden and develop the relations, and supporting high rank contacts between Iranian and Kyrgyz officials.

Also the joint statement says the Kyrgyz side greeted Iranians for success in nuclear talks with 5+1 leading to Vienna Agreement of July 14.

In terms of dealing with regional issues like terrorism and extremism, the two presidents underlined the role of regional states in resolving the problems and rejected the cross-regional interference in the mayhem.
