TEHRAN, Aug. 31 (MNA) – Iranian feature film Oblivion Season directed by Abbas Rafei will compete at Full Bloom Film Festival in North Carolina of USA.

Oblivion Season will compete with 18 other movies planned from September 24th through September 26th in and around Historic Downtown Statesville, North Carolina.

The Iranian flick has so far attended Hudson Festival in New York, held 14-19 August, in Monroe Academy for Visual Arts & Design, Brasov International Film Festival & Market 2015, and the Colombian International Film Festival. The Iranian work is also accepted for the 39th Montreal World Film Festival (MWFF), slated from August 27 to September 7.

Oblivion Season competed in Iran’s 32nd Fajr International Film Festival and its actress Sareh Bayat was a nominee for the best actress title. It also bagged the NETPAC Award (The Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema).

The film tells the story of a woman who starts a new life by marrying her loved one but leaving the shadow of her dark past is not as easy as it seemed before.

The Full Bloom Film Festival is dedicated to bringing quality, diverse cinema to Statesville, NC, a multifaceted art-conscious city in North Carolina. The Festival is organized by a committed group of area business leaders, film enthusiasts and volunteers.
