TEHRAN, Aug. 30 (MNA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said here on Sunday that Iran is ready to boost economic ties with Mongolia.

The Iranian President made the remarks while receiving the letter of credential of Mongolia new Ambassador to Tehran Dambian Yam.

'Iranian companies are ready to cooperate with Mongolia energy, road construction and mining sectors.' he added

Iran and Mongolia enjoy historical and cultural commonalities, the president said and added “Iran is fully prepared to expand its ties with the country particularly its scientific and cultural relations.”

Pointing to the meeting with his Mongol counterpart on the sidelines of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, Rouhani expressed hope that the level of mutual relations would enhance during Yam's tenure.

During the meeting, Dambian Yam also submitted his credential to the Iranian president.

For his part, the Mongolian envoy said that his country is keen to boost its political, scientific, cultural and economic relations with Iran.
