Iran's defense delegation is scheduled to visit the most advanced air, defense and space systems offered at the MAKS-2015, the International Aviation and Space Show in Moscow.
A Russian presidential aide has said Kremlin will finalize the 2007 deal on delivery of S-300 anti-air missiles in the current week. Iranian Defense Minister Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehghan said on august 23 that Iran will receive the missile system by year end. While the primary contract was for three S-300 systems, the final agreement to be implemented, according to Dehghan, will be deliveryy of 4 systems.
Under US and Israeli regime's pressures, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev ordered to ban the delivery of the missiles in 2010, though Iran had paid part of their costs in advance. In 2015, however, President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Kremlin will implement the contract regardless of US concerns and imposed sanctions.
