Referring to a speech made by the minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Bahram Jamali explained that, “according to the comments made by the minister regarding the German Orchestra’s trip to Iran, primary negotiations on the topic have been started and we are waiting for the German counterpart to announce the time and conditions of holding a concert in Iran.”
“Based on some other plans, it is likely that the visit of the Austrian president to Iran will coincide with the presence of an orchestra from that country and currently consultations are being made with authorities the result of which will be announced as soon as an agreement has been reached,” he added.
The director of Rudaki Foundation, pointing to the China’s Philharmonic Orchestra which held two joint performances with Tehran Symphony Orchestra last week in Vahdat Hall, said that, “fortunately, these 2 concerts have been among the most important and highest quality performances held recently in Vahdat Hall and I hope that similar programs will set the ground for holding concerts at an international level of quality.”
