Planned for 3-13 September, the festival will be held in Romania. Nine films from the US, Canada, Spain, India, Germany and Iran will compete in the filmfest while two other films are selected for the opening and closing ceremony.
The Iranian flick has so far attended Hudson Festival in New York, held 14-19 August, in Monroe Academy for Visual Arts & Design as well as the Colombian International Film Festival. The Iranian work is also accepted for the 39th Montreal World Film Festival (MWFF), slated from August 27 to September 7.
'Oblivion Season' competed in Iran’s 32nd Fajr International Film Festival and its actress Sareh Bayat was a nominee for the best actress title. It also bagged the NETPAC Award(The Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema).
The film tells the story of a woman who starts a new life by marrying her loved one but leaving the shadow of her dark past is not as easy as it seemed before.
