Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remarks in a Tuesday meeting with Gabriela Cuevas Barron, the chair of the foreign relations committee of Mexico’ Senate of the Republic, while calling for an all-out international and regional countermeasure against terrorism.
Elsewhere during the meeting with the Mexican politician, Zarif called for further cooperation between Iran and Mexico in expanding economic, political, cultural and parliamentary relations.
He also maintained that Tehran and Mexico City can expand their cooperation in the fields of automotive industry, aerospace, environment, oil, gas and renewable energies.
Barron, for her part, stressed the need for expansion of bilateral and regional ties between her country and Iran, saying that Mexico has always been seeking to improve relations with the Islamic Republic.
She further touched upon the current regional conflicts, saying that dialogue is the only way to settle the Middle East crises and that her country backs this political approach in international communities.
