İZMİR, May 31 (MNA) – Young Iranian wrestlers bagged 4 medals in the first two days of the 18th International Cadets Wrestling Tournament in Turkey.

Iranian junior wrestlers grabbed 2 gold medals, one silver and a bronze one in the first two days of the 18th International Cadets Mahmut Atalay and Yaşar Erkan Tournament in free style, and greco-roman wrestling.

The tournament kicked off on May 29 and will be wrapped up today in İzmir city of Turkey.

On the Second day of the event, Iranian freestyler Shayan Jalilzadeh defeated all rivals and grabbed the gold medal in the 100-kilogram weight class while in the same weight category the Greco-Roman wrestler Ali Ghasemi took home a bronze medal.

In the 58-kilogram division of the Greco-Roman bout, Reza Taghizadeh snached nothing and stood on the ninth place.

In the first day of the event, Greco-Roman wrestler Omid Arami won over all rivals and seized a gold medal for Iran in the 42-kilogram category.

Also Mohammad Gholami snatched a silver in 54-kilogram class of Greco-Roman section of the event.

On the last day of the event, Freestylers Majid Dastan and Erfan Aeeni are scheduled to go on mat in 50-kilogram class in addition to Armeen Babaee in 63-kilogram section and Meisam Abdi in 85-kilogram division.

The Greco-Roman wrestlers Mehdi Hasan-nejad in 50-kilogram class and Mohammadreza Diarkhah in 85-kilogram class are the other Iranian competitors of the final day.
