“It is one of excellent exercises ever carried out by Iran’s Army”, Commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmadreza Pourdastan told reporters on Saturday while adding that the first stage was launched by rapid reaction units and the second stage was kicked off today with firing indigenous missiles of Nazeat 10 and Fajr 5.
Hailing Iran’s technology in manufacturing advanced and precise missiles, the Commander boasted the upgrade in defense industry and added that some new features of the arms were successfully tested in the drill.
Pourdastan referred to Iran’s Leader’s analysis of the current crises of Middle East and warned those manipulated by cross-regional states to take notice of Iranian Armed Forces readiness in defending Iran.
He also added that the last leg of the drill dubbed Beit al-Moqaddas 27 will be held in Nasr Abad region of Isfahan Province to test more of domestically designed and manufactured equipments of the Army.
The week-long Beit al-Moqaddas 27 war games, which started on Wednesday, mark the anniversary of the liberation of the southwestern city of Khorramshahr during the eight-year imposed war with Iraq.
In recent years, Iran has conducted several military drills to enhance the defense capabilities of its armed forces and to test modern military tactics and equipment.
Iran has frequently announced that its military might poses no threat to other countries, stating that its defense doctrine is based on deterrence.
