The announcement was made during a meeting attended by Managing Director of Bank Melli Iran Mohammadreza Hosseinzadeh and Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Russia Dmitry Eskobelkin.
Iran’s Hosseinzadeh stated that Bank Melli Iran and Russia’s Mir Business Bank were fully prepared to support economic activists of the two parties.
The official went on to underlined that “Mir Business Bank plays a significant role in forming collaboration between the two countries’ banking systems and it is run under the auspices of Russia’s rules and regulations and it has managed to provide the businessmen with good banking services.”
Bank Melli managing director also appreciated the supports provided by Mr. Dmitry Eskobelkin, head of Russian banking commission, in line with development of relations between the two countries' commercial banks.
In late December, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak in an address to Iran-Russia Trade Conference had said “the two countries’ central banks have improved conditions as compared with the past and the cash is being transferred in a suitable way.”
