The statement said the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran had started injection of UF6 (uranium hexafluoride) to its highly advanced IR-8 centrifuges which are several steps more accelerated than older and less efficient IR-4 and IR-2 machines.
The statement credited the success to efforts of indigenous experts and scientists and hailed it as a good omen just days ahead of the anniversary of historic arrival of Imam Khomeini (RA) as an important date in the history of the Revolution; “the stage is a leap forward in safely arriving at the guidelines provided by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution who mandated development to the highest level of technology of nation’s nuclear program and technology which was in the framework mandated by the JCPOA,” the statement read.
“IR-8 is the most advanced generation of centrifuges designed and developed by indigenous capabilities and know-how and is a great step forward in Iran's nuclear industry; the AEOI congratulates the Leader, the President, and the nation on the achievement and asserts that it will continue R&D activities to produce research nuclear power plant fuel provisioned for by the JCPOA,” it rejoiced to announce.
