Rouhani hails N-deal as Iran’s diplomatic finesse in 1 year anniv.

TEHRAN, Jul. 13 (MNA) – President Rouhani hailed Iran’s nuclear deal with the six states clenched one year ago today as the pinnacle of the country’s diplomacy.

President Hassan Rouhani commemorated July 14 as the anniversary of Iran’s nuclear deal with the 5+1 group of countries and stressed the Islamic Republic’s commitment to its JCPOA-related obligations.

“The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) benefits all countries and promotes global peace, security, stability and development,” Rouhani said. “Its violation, however, will be detrimental to all and any side who seeks to take the first step will become a political loser on the international scene.”

“It is imperative for all to make efforts at regional and international levels toward the implementation of the nuclear deal based on national interests and common sense,” he added.

President Rouhani named July 14 as the day of interaction with the world, saying “the Islamic Republic of Iran proved to every country in the world that it possesses such capabilities and expertise in political, logical, technical and legal matters that it can sit down for negotiations with world powers and defend the rights of Iranian nation.”

“July 14 attested that just as we are fully capable of standing against enemy plots in the battleground, we can appear just as capable in the political, legal and technical scenes and bring victory for our nation,” he said.

The Iranian President went on to add, “negotiations managed to eliminate the pretext for threats and reveal our political, legal and technical powers to the world.”

“Of course, we are still dealing with certain issues such as banking transactions, which have not yet reached our desirable level,” Rouhani said, adding “however, some positive steps have been taken to tackle these issues and Iran is now linked to major banks in the world.”

“If the 5+1 decides to ignore its commitments, the government is fully prepared and able to return to its desirable point in nuclear capabilities in the shortest time possible,” he said.
