Iran, Bulgaria sign 3 MoUs

TEHRAN, Jul. 11 (MNA) – Three memorandums were signed between Iran and Bulgaria on Mon. in Tehran in the presence of Iran’s 1st VP Jahangiri and Bulgarian PM Boyko Borissov.

A memorandum of understanding in the field of communications, information technology and telecommunications was signed by Iran’s ICT Minister Mahmoud Vaezi and Bulgaria’s Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski.

Iran’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Affairs, Mohammad Khazaei, signed an MoU on joint investment with Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Economy Lyuben Petrov. 

The third agreement on fostering cooperation among Iranian and Bulgaraian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) was inked by Iran’s Deputy Minister of Industry Ali Yazdani and Bulgaria’s Petrov.

The Bulgarian Prime Minister heading a high-ranking political, trade and economic delegation arrived in Tehran on Monday for a two-day visit and was officially welcomed by First Vice-President Es’haq Jahangiri in Tehran’s Sa'dabad Palace.

Following the signing of the MoUs, the two officials attended a press conference where they discussed expansion of bilateral ties as well as regional issues, particularly the fight against terrorism and extremism.
