Leader’s official website report said that Ayatollah Khamenei had agreed to proposed number of prisoners receive amnesty for the occasion.
1059 prisoners, who had received verdicts in public and Revolutionary courts, Judicial Organization of the Armed Forces (Military Disciplinary Courts), and administrative courts, received the pardon.
Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani had proposed to the Leader through a letter amnesty for the convicts which fulfilled conditions necessary for receiving a general pardon, to which the Leader agreed.
