Iran’s non-oil exports up 4 per cent in value

TEHRAN, Sep. 23 (MNA) – Iran’s minister of industries, mine and trade has said non-oil exports and engineering and technical services have risen 4 per cent in value.

Iran’s state news agency IRNA quoted the ministry’s official website report that in the first 5 months of the Iranian year (beginning March 21), Iran exported non-oil goods and engineering and technical services worth of $14.3bn in value; in the same period, exports amounted to 31.86 million tons in weight.

Liquid propane worth of $908mn; methanol worth of $717mn; liquid butane worth of $662mn; bitumen worth of $520mn; and grid polyethylene film worth of $512mn comprised the exported items.

Among the target markets, China was first with $3.84bn; Iraq came second with $2.21bn; and UAE was third with $1.5bn among top countries.
