She noted that shortage of Iranian professors and scientific sources are among the educational problems facing the students of Persian language and literature in China.
“A total of 15 students are studying Persian language and literature, and 10 more students are due to register in the next academic year,” she added.
She also emphasized continuous cooperation of Iranian professors and arranging the visit of Chinese students to Iran.
Referring to the interest of Chinese students in Persian language, she said,” In Persian Language and Literature Research Center of Beijing University, several research projects including the translation of Persian masterpieces such as divans of Hafez, Roudaki, Sa’di, Molvai Rumi into the Chinese language have been carried out. Student thesis on the history of the Shia religion in Iran is soon to be published as well.”
The Persian language and literature course has been included on the list of foreign courses of Beijing University since 1957, and a total of 200 students have so far graduated from it.
