TEHRAN, May 12 (MNA) –Turkish Parliament Speaker meets with Iran's Vice President and insists on the strategic friendship with Iran, but he does not hide his friendly grievances either.

 Iran’s Vice President Lotfollah Forouzandeh Dehkordi who is in Ankara on the invitation of Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ in his third round of meetings with Turkey’s officials, talked to Cemil Çiçek Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly in his office.

During the meeting Çiçek said: “Turkey has supported Iran in the United Nations for nuclear energy issue, and has always proven its friendship and brotherhood to Iran and behaved in a way that adheres to strategic friendship with Iran.”

Çiçek also pointed to the presidential election, and hoped to hear good news from Iran. “The security and prosperity for Iran as a major and valuable neighboring country is a benefit to us as well."

Lotfollah Forouzandeh also met with Bekir Bozdağ, Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister and discussed ways of developing parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

Stating that Iran and Turkey are two friends and have longstanding historical relations, Bekir Bozdağ added that “in recent years, our senior officials have had several meetings and I hope this visit will have special role in developing the two countries’ relationship.”
