In an interview with the Mehr News Agency, Alireza Kadkhoda’i stressed that the volume of power exchange with neighboring countries currently strands at 800 MW, adding that by conclusion of new contracts in the field of power exchange, the figure will increase in coming years.
He said that power export to Iraq will initiate during this summer, and that the level of power export to Turkmenistan and Afghanistan will also experience an upward trend.
He added that if the plan for power export to Iraq gets operational, Iran will supply this country with 100 MWs electricity.
Pointing to the electricity equipments, he said that the country has a good potential in manufacturing and marketing of electrical apparatus and in average takes part in 50 international bids in this regard per annum.
