TEHRAN, Jan. 21 (MNA) – General Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran Custom Administration says that the country’s export has reached $32b in the past 9 months and stated that despite economic pressure, non-oil export has also increased.

“The country’s commerce also has exceeded $73b in the same period,” added Abbas Memarnejad

Custom General Director pointed to the Custom’s roles and obligations and said “implementation of government policies in export and import, control and supervision of cargo transport through the country’s territory, fighting smuggling and customhouse violations, import and export custom formalities, domestic and overseas transportation, planning and execution of governmental economical policies, and collection and analysis of foreign commerce statistics are the most important obligations of the Islamic Republic of Iran Custom Administration.

Providing comments on the operation of Maku Free Trade Zone in West Azerbaijan, Memarnejad expressed the Custom’s readiness for strengthening cooperation with the region, standardizing customhouse procedures, as well as expansion of regional interactions.
