In the meeting, Roknabadi and Plumbly exchanged views on the latest developments in Lebanon and other regional countries.
Plumbly emphasized the necessity of maintaining peace and security in the region and said that he was keen to hold more meetings with Iranian officials to help provide assistance to the Lebanese people.
The Iranian ambassador also commented on the Palestinian issue, saying that Iran’s suggestion is that a referendum be held with the participation of all the displaced people from every religion or group.
On the situation in Syria, Roknabadi said that Iran supports every effort meant to implement reforms in the Arab country and will support the people’s legitimate demands.
