Farooq Hamid Naek made the remarks on Sunday in the second session of the 5th international conference in support of Palestinian Intifada, which opened in Tehran on Saturday.
“Pakistan supports the establishment of Palestinian State,” he said. “We should respect the Palestinian people’s efforts to establish lasting peace.”
He also described the Palestinian issue as Muslim world’s main concern and said the Organization of Islamic Cooperation should be responsive to the challenges of Islamic world and should bring justice, freedom, and peace for its members.
At the end of his speech, Naek called on all the leaders of the Islamic world to unite with Palestinian people against the Zionist regime.
‘Sudan sides with Islamic ummah in support of Palestine’
Sudanese Parliament speaker Ahmad Ibrahim al-Tahir, during his speech at the conference, said Khartoum supports the resistance movement and sides with the Islamic and Arab nations.
Al-Tahir also expressed hope that God will guide Palestinian leaders to achieve unity as the first step on the road to liberation of Palestinian territories.
“We should stand by the resistance movement and continue to campaign against the Zionists until they lift the siege on the Gaza Strip, and the Palestinian refugees return to their homeland,” he explained.
