TEHRAN, Oct. 1 (MNA) – Iran is closely monitoring the movements of foreign naval vessels in the Persian Gulf, the deputy commander of the IRGC Naval Force announced on Saturday.

“The IRGC Naval Force is closely following the movements of all foreign naval forces in the Persian Gulf. They (foreign naval forces) are informed about Iran’s power and capability, so they do not dare to encroach on Iran’s sea borders,” Alireza Tangsiri said on Saturday.

He also said that Iranian naval forces have been keeping a close eye on the USS George H.W. Bush, the U.S. aircraft carrier which has recently entered the Persian Gulf.

The military officer went on to say that aircraft carriers are easy targets for Iranian small speedboats and could easily been sunk.

He added that small boats have been delivered to people, who live in coastal areas, so that they can defend the country in case an emergency situation arises.
