TEHRAN March 2 (Mehr News Agency) —- Iranian Deputy Interior Ministerr for Security Affairs Jahanbakhsh Khanjani will visit Warsaw on Wednesday to discuss the attack by the U.S.-led coalition forces on a bus carrying Iranian pilgrims in Iraq on Monday, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Interior Ministry spokesman announced on Tuesday.

Khanjani, heading the political delegation, will discuss with Polish officials the political and security issues between the Islamic Republic and Poland, the report said.

 

An advisor to the interior minister noted the visit had been scheduled before the attack on the Iranian pilgrims’ bus in Baghdad in which a number of pilgrims were killed or injured. Nevertheless, the Iranian Charge’ de Affaires in Baghdad has been asked to follow up the subject closely and release an immediate report on the subject and forward it to Tehran.

 

An informed political source has told the news agency that the Iranian Embassy in Warsaw will also discuss with Polish officials the issue of security of the Iranian pilgrims in Iraq.
