TEHRAN Feb. 22 (Mehr News Agency) -– During a meeting between the Yemeni Ambassador to Iran, Dr. Abdolqavi Abdolvase’ Alriayeni, and the head of Red Crescent Society, Dr. Nurbala, the two sides discussed the development of medical cooperation between the two countries.

In this meeting, the Yemeni ambassador described the cooperation between Iran’s Red Crescent Society and the Yemeni health ministry as positive.

 

Alriayeni said that Iranian physicians are highly skilled in cornea transplant, expressing hope Yemen side would be able to take advantage of this privilege in this regard.

 

Alriayeni further noted that the successful performance of medical centers in Yemen is indebted to a help granted by Iran’s Red Crescent Society, adding that Iran’s Red Crescent Society in San’a is render excellent services to the people.

 

Meanwhile, the head of Iranian Red Crescent Society said the existence of cultural, social and religious commonalities has prepared the ground for developing the bilateral ties between the two Muslim states.

 

Stressing the signature of a memorandum of understanding with Yemeni Health Ministry Nurbala said in order to facilitate delivery of drug and medical equipment to Yemen Iran is ready to fulfill its obligations in this regard.
