TEHRAN, March 11 (MNA) -- The Iranian film “Rainy Seasons” is currently competing in the Pan-Asia Film Festival in London.

The film is about a 16-year-old Sina, who is experiencing a new lifestyle as a consequence of his parents’ divorce. This situation forces him to make independent decisions about his life.

Majid Barzegar won the best director award for the film at the Didar Film Festival in Tajikistan in 2010.

The Pan-Asia Film Festival will close on March 13 with the English premiere of “Au Revoir Taipei”, the award-winning debut feature by American-Taiwanese director Arvin Chen, with veteran German filmmaker Wim Wenders as executive producer.

Movies from 13 Asian countries have been scheduled to be screened during the festival, which is hosted by the Asia House, the leading pan-Asian organization in the UK.

The festival covers the freshest talent emerging from all across the Asian continent today.
