He is ready to burn down the country to remain in power. He has turned citizens against each other.
Gaddafi has said, “At the suitable time, we will open the arms depot so all Libyans and tribes become armed, so that Libya becomes red with fire.”
This person is so full of himself that he asks people to “go out and fight” protesters “for the defense of Gaddafi.” He has also asked his supporters to hunt down opponents in their homes, and called protestors rats, drug addicts, and other insulting terms.
This egocentric man who would be king, using oil money, has recruited militiamen and foreign mercenaries to target the protesters.
The militiamen and mercenaries act savagely, just like the insane dictator who gives them orders. They target anybody in sight on the streets and shoot at the façades of buildings to terrorize the people. They open fire from speeding vehicles at people looking out the windows of their homes.
In over 41 years in power, Gaddafi has acted erratically and illogically. The disappearance of Imam Musa Sadr on a visit to Libya over 32 years ago, the Lockerbie bombing, and the bombing of a West Berlin club cast light on his personality.
If Gaddafi had had more power, he would have acted more savagely than many other dictators, maybe even worse than Hitler and Stalin.
So, why did the West make a deal with such a person and sell arms to him?
This shows that certain Western countries make deals with criminals when they believe it is in their economic interests.
