Omid Norouzi claimed the gold medal in the 60kg category by beating Jung Jihyun of South Korea in the final.
“This is the best victory of my career. I defeated world champions in the event to claim the gold,” Norouzi said.
Saeid Abdvali gained the gold medal in the 66kg category as well. The Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler beat Darkhan Bayakhmetov from Kazakhstan to win the gold.
“My dream came true at the Asian Games. I am so happy to win Iran’s 10th gold medal in the event,” Abdvali stated.
Kaveh Mousavi was the third Iranian winner on Sunday. He won the silver medal of the Men's Hammer Throw in Athletics at the Asian Games.
Mousavi finished second by throwing 68.90 meters. Dilshod Nazarov from Tajikistan won the gold medal with a result of 76.44 meters. The bronze medal went to Japanese Hiroaki Doi with 68.72 meters.
“I expected to win a medal at the Asian Games, but at the moment I cannot believe I won the silver medal. My rivals were very powerful in the event and had good throws,” Mousavi said.
Iran has won 10 gold medals so far. Khadijeh Azadpour has claimed the gold medal of the women's 60kg Sanshou Wushu. Mohsen Mohammad-Seifi gained the gold medal of the men's -60kg Sanshou Wushu competition, and Hamidreza Gholipour won the gold in the men's 75kg Sanshou Wushu.
Iranian taekwondo athletes Yousef Karami, Alireza Nasr-Azadani and Mohammad Bagheri-Motamed seized three gold medals at the games.
Mohsen Shadi Naghadeh seized the gold medal in Lightweight Men's Single Sculls in rowing and Behdad Salimi won the gold in Men's +105kg Weightlifting competition.
Some 9,700 athletes from 45 countries are competing in 42 various sports at the Guangzhou Asian Games in southern China which runs until November 27.
