TEHRAN, June 29 (Mehr News Agency) – Majlis Speaker Mahdi Karrubi here on Sunday called on the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Hassan Rowhani to report to the parliamentarians whether the council's directives regarding the recent unrest in Iran have been implemented.

"I expect Mr. Rowhani to confirm or reject these remarks. In the SNSC sessions all agreed that the council's directives must be implemented … If this is the case, we must be informed about it," he said.

Karrubi's request for the SNSC followed the remarks by an MP from Tehran Meysam Saeedi who had said that the council's directives on the unrest had not been implemented.

He said he would also follow up the issue, stressing that this was because the SNSC had declared the directives are implemented.
