DUSHANBE, Nov. 17 (MNA) – The biggest exhibition of Iranian products will be held in the Tajik capital from November 23 to 27.

Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting quoted Tuesday Iran's Ambassador to Tajikistan Ali-Asghar Sherdoost stating that 62 Iranian firms from twelve provinces will showcase their products in the show.

 

He said some of the products in the fair include electrical appliances, healthcare products, construction material, car parts, heating and lighting items, computer components, clothes and foodstuff.

 

He noted that trade between the countries in the previous calendar year (March 2008 to March 2009) reached $250 million and it has increased by 35 percent in the current calendar year.

 

The Iranian official pointed out that both side are eager to extend all-out cooperation in various cultural, economic and industrial fields.

 

Iranian experts have currently undertaken several development projects in Tajikistan including a dam and power plant, a tunnel, a railway, etc. with plans to conduct a variety of other projects in hand.

 

The Iranian president is due to visit that country in the near future.
