With 750 years of history, the ancient memorial tower of Ala'oddoleh opened to the public on Thursday through a special ceremony attended by cultural officials in Varamin.

The magnificent monument is one of the most complete historical mausoleums in Iran, which is the resting-place of Ala'oddoleh, one of the greatest teachers and governors in Varamin. It is round and 12m high, with an oval ceiling 5m long. The tower also has a cellar where Ala'oddoleh was buried about 750 years ago. The entire structure has been decorated with a beautiful set of tile works and age-old calligraphy.

The historical memorial tower opened to the public in a joint co-operation between the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Varamin and the Cultural Heritage Organization. It will be used as a venue for cultural exhibitions. The exhibition of "Ganjineh" with an array of artworks is currently underway at the locale
