TEHRAN, December 6 (Mehr News Agency) –- To boost tourism industry throughout the world, domestic tourism must develop first, said head of Iran Touring and Tourism Organization (ITTO).

Visiting Zahedan, Sistan-Baluchestan Province, Mohammad-Taha Abde-Khodaei added that the problems and obstacles of the industry will gradually show up and fade away via boosting domestic tourism, helping to pave the ground for hosting more foreign tourists.

“People must be encouraged to take trips all four seasons of the year, not dedicating their journeys to just summer and Nowrouz holidays,” he said.

Many cities in Iran are good to visit in winter, like different cities of Sistan-Baluchestan Province, said Abde-Khodaei adding that several projects are underway for families to take more trips in a year.

“Students short winter holidays, arranging loans and trip coupons are among the programs of the organization,” he said, adding that tourist attractions, and beautiful natural sites of different cities must be introduced through mass media, encouraging people to enjoy the tropical climate as well.

“Beautiful clear sky with shining stars of the desert, colorful mountains along the road from Zahedan to Zabol, as well as unique reflection of various colors of pink, blue, and purple, gently touch the eyes of every visitor,” he added.

There is no need for governmental investment or intervention in tourism industry, he further noted, saying that government can only supervise and decide on new policies.
