Mohammad Ali Jaberi added in an interview with the Mehr News Agency, "The trading community of the Iranian hand-woven carpets will be held at this five-day exhibition in Paris in order to introduce the advantages, capabilities and unique and artistic specifications of the Iranian hand-woven carpets to the world."
Jaberi stated, "The Iranian Carpet Company together with the Union of Iranian Hand-woven Carpet Exporters are responsible for this exhibition."
"Having selected the most suitable old carpets maintained by collectors and exporters and also the most suitable new carpets produced based on the most beautiful and original carpet designs, the exhibition managers have in mind to introduce the Iranian carpet industry to the world's community," he claimed.
"For this purpose and for choosing the best Iranian carpets, all those interested in participating in this exhibition are invited to send us at most 10 of their precious carpets to help the Carpet Selecting Board choose the best samples."
He said the best samples would be selected by a board composed of seven experts of carpet art. All costs for ensuring the selected carpets and transporting them to France and back would be paid by the Iranian Carpet Company and this company would be responsible for ensuring and safeguarding the delivered carpets.
Regarding the costs related to the exhibition he said, "The costs for the exhibition place and related advertisements are paid by Export Expanding Center and the costs for tickets and residence will be paid by the participants themselves."
