TEHRAN, March 9 (MNA) – The average age of Iranian scientists, working in research institutes and laboratories in the country is below 26, chancellor of Tehran University said here on Monday.

Speaking at the gathering of foreign students studying at Tehran University, Farhad Rahbar described Tehran University as the best universities in the region.

 

“Tehran University ranked 159 in engineering courses among the world’s universities”.

 

There has been a rapid increase in science production in the university, Rahbar said, adding that Tehran University is actively involved in 20% of the country’s science production.

 

Rahbar said that a number of 140 agreements have been signed between Tehran University and the world’s famous universities so far. 

 

He also said foreign students studying in Iranian universities play an important role in cultural, social, and, political relations between the Islamic Republic and their home countries.
