TEHRAN, Oct. 27 (MNA) -- Tehran Mayor Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf inaugurated on Monday Arad-Kouh recycling site which is considered the greatest one in the Middle East.

According to Farhad Pour-Mohammad Sakha, the director of recycling organization at Tehran Municipality, Arad-Kuh is a hi-tech center designed to process and compose hundreds of tons of waste .

 

Processing lines, fermentation site, and sanitary landfill cell as well as mechanized carwash center are among the facilities of the complex.

 

Covering an area of 22 hectares, the fermentation site is capable for composing 3000 tons of waste, Pour-Mohammad Sakha said, adding, “The fermentation site of the complex is the greatest one in the world.”

 

He also added that the complex’s landfill cell, capable of dumping 600 hundred tons of wastes, is the first sanitary landfill cell in the country.
