TEHRAN, June 25 (Mehr News Agency) – Iran’s Wrestling Federation (IWF) said on Wednesday the news on resignation of national coach Hassan Hamidi released in some dailies is not true.

Talking to Mehr, the IWF Secretary Javad Rofougar said Hamidi has not stepped down and he has already talked to the Technical Manager Mohsen Farahvashi about his absence in the camp.

He added the federation invited Hamidi to train the freestyle wrestlers but he refused to attend due to his other tasks.

Rofougar rejected any link between Hamidi’s absence and off-the-mat problems.
