The film narrates the story of two young men from an Iranian village who work in an animal market in which they are given a seemingly simple task: to deliver a large, wounded cow across the country to Tehran within 24 hours.
Majidi promoting “Song of Sparrows” at Fukuoka
TEHRAN -- Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi has travel to Japan to promote his acclaimed film, “The Song of Sparrows”, during the ongoing Fukuoka International Film Festival.
Dariush Mehrjuii’s “Santur Player” is another Iranian film, which will be screened during the event that will be running until September 21.
Focusing on Asian Cinema, the festival aims to promote cultural and international exchange by screening Asian films and introduce them to the world.
Vancouver festival to screen Iranian films
TEHRAN -- Three Iranian films will be screened at the 27th Vancouver International Film Festival from September 25 to October 10.
Manijeh Hekmat’s “Three Women”, Ruhollah Hejazi’s “Among the Clouds” and Majid Majidi’s “The Song of Sparrows” will be screened at the Cinema of Our Time Section of the event.
