According to Press TV, in a meeting with the Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council Abdul Rahman al-Attiya in Riyadh, the Iranian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mohammad Hosseini delivered the message of Iran's Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki.
Mottaki has earlier called for expansion of ties with the PGCC countries in all fields and called for strengthening commercial and economic cooperation with regional states within the framework of a common market.
Iran's offer was discussed at the 104th meeting of the PGCC foreign ministers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on September 1, 2007.
PGCC is a trade bloc involving the six Arab states of the Persian Gulf in many economic and social objectives.
Created on May 25, 1981, the Council is comprised of the Persian Gulf states of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The unified economic agreement between the countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council was signed on November 11, 1981 in Riyadh.
