TEHRAN, October 24 (Mehr News Agency) -- Young weightlifters of Iran arrived in India Thursday to compete in the first Asia-Africa event.

The Indian city Hyderabad will host the event from October 24 to November 1.

   

Iran comprises Mahmoud Esmaeilzadeh (77kg), Javad Naderi and Shahrouz Qorbani (85kg), Ali Dehqanian and Omid Naeij (94kg), Abdolreza Fouladivand (105kg), as well as Mohammad Salehi and Rashid Sharifi (+105kg).

   

Iran's Weightlifting Federation President Ali Moradi, who is the secretary general of the Asian Weightlifting Confederation, and the IWF Secretary Darab Riahi are accompanying the team.
