TEHRAN, July 10 (MNA) – The second International Iran Transit Forum will be held here on July 15-16, head of Iran Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization reported here on Tuesday.

 

Mohammad Bokharaii, also deputy minister of road and transportation and the forum secretary, added that the conference will be attended by high-ranking officials of 30 countries and 40 international organizations.

 

The conference will be held to increase the transit’s economic competence and to develop the infrastructures and guilds’ collaboration, he said.

 

The World Bank (WB), Islamic Development Bank (IDB), International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), International Union of Railways (UIC), United Nations Development Program (UNDP), International Road Organization (IRO), and TIR Convention will attend the forum, he announced.

 

Iran’s transportation and transit function, policies, and abilities are the main topics of the forum, the official added.

 

The first International Iran Transit Forum was held in 2002.
