TEHRAN, June 25 (MNA) -- The participation of foreign countries in the 6th International Police, Safety and Security Equipment Exhibition has increased by 40 percent, the director of the Cooperation Institute of the Islamic Republic of Iran Police, Brigadier Hamidreza Moniri, said here on Saturday.

Last year, companies from 27 different countries participated in IPAS but this year, despite the sanctions imposed on Iran, companies from 35 countries have applied to participate in the event, Moniri told reporters at a press conference.

IPAS will be held from June 27 to 30. Some 55 foreign companies and 320 Iranian companies plan to attend, he stated.

“Our objective is to familiarize the police with the latest achievements throughout the world,” he said.
