TEHRAN, May 14 (MNA) – Over 35,100 Palestinians have been killed as a result of the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip which started at the beginning of last October, according to the Ministry of Health of the Palestinian enclave.

"The number of victims of the Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip has reached 35,173," the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

According to the report, 79,061 Palestinians have been injured in the enclave, TASS reported.

Over the past 24 hours alone, Israeli forces in Gaza killed 82 people and injured 234, the Ministry of Health said.

The death toll is estimated to be far higher with thousands believed buried in the debris of buildings collapsed during Israeli strikes.

Israel waged a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas Resistance group carried out a historic operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

Israel has imposed a complete siege on the densely populated territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
