TEHRAN, May 07 (MNA) – Israeli tanks occupied Gaza’s vital Rafah border crossing on Tuesday as Israel brushed off urgent warnings against moving in the hugely crowded city in the Gaza Strip.

A spokesperson for the committee of the Gaza Strip crossings also confirmed that the Rafah crossing has been closed due to the presence of the Zionist regime’s tanks.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan Ayman Safadi warned on Tuesday that Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu jeopardizes the ongoing talks on the prisoner swap and truce deal in Gaza.

Senior Hamas official Ismail Haniyeh announced on Monday that the Palestinian resistance movement accepted a Gaza ceasefire proposal put forward by Qatari and Egyptian mediators.

The Tel Aviv regime, however, insisted the deal didn't meet its core demands and rejected it, though it has said it will continue discussing the proposal.

No aid is getting into Gaza after 48 hours of "chaos" led to "terror and confusion", a British charity said, according to Sky News.
